Day two, Madrid... part three

There was a silver lining to it all though, as the girls and professor went to the police station the rest of us were bonding in a hotel room. It was a great experience. I think we all had a great time experiencing time together and our time here will only grow. I’m excited to hear what else has in store for us. Hopefully no bad stuff is in store for us in the future.
So it’s getting later and later and everyone but Alex, Abby, and Dorris, are hanging out in Stephanie’s room. Some decided to open up our boxed sangria and others were just drinking other beverages. We were all so anxious to hear back from the girls but we had no way of getting a hold of them other than waiting for them to show up. Most of us were getting hungry and the longer we waited the more hungry we got.
We went out on the town to explore and find a decent priced resteraunt to grab a snack. Our quiet chill night turned into a wild night at dinner at VIPS resteraunt. It might have been a combination of sleep deprivation and alcohol but the group was being crazy and it was a lot of laughs and good times.
I ordered a meal and others only ordered desert and so on. Emily and I both ordered tacos that came with a side of beans and nachos. Our nachos weren’t so nacho-y. When I think nachos I think tons of chips and loads of cheese. Well we had delicious tacos with guacamole that were supposed to come with “nachos” but they were just a small plate of four chips. The smallest plate you have ever seen and four chips that’s all. Well it was a bit unexpected but this entire trip has been full of expectancy violations. I also expected the hotel to have a swimming pool but that didn’t happen. Oh and another expectancy violation, I assumed it would be extremely hot weather. Don’t get me wrong it is gorgeous outside but it is not as hot as I expected it to be. No worries its not affecting the trip it was just a bit unexpected that’s all.
After dinner exhaustion kicked in and the whole group decided to call it a night and head to bed. Well most of the group decided to go to bed. Apparently Emily was still hungry and wanted to find somewhere else to eat and go “out.” No one else wanted to stay out so they were all headed straight to the hotel but it took some convincing on Allison’s part to get Emily to come inside and call it a night. Finally we get to our rooms upstairs and rest in our unbelievably comfortable beds…. That’s sarcasm BTW.
Night time I’m so tired!
I cannot wait for tomorrow. We’re going to the royal palace, newswire agency tour, and watching Spain play in the world cup!
So until next time, hasta luego!
