Madrid. Day one. Evening.

Madrid

Day one evening:

So we went to an Asian restaurant for our first meal in Spain… who does that? Baha well apparently us. Phil, Allison, Emily and I walked around the city to find a bite to eat but we were so hungry that the first place we saw looked amazing to us. As soon as we saw a restaurant we were all in. Now, even though we did go to an Asian place for dinner we still tried to keep it diverse. Phil had Cantonese, Emily had Tai food, Allison had Chinese, and I had Japanese. That’s keeping it diverse right? Well turns out my food wasn’t so delicious, the first thing I saw on the menu was jumbo shrimp and vegetables tempura. Sounds amazing right? Well it wasn’t as amazing as it sounds it was all mush. Really, just oil and mushy veggies and that was my dinner. For being a long day and not having a real meal in over 24 hours, I was a bit disappointed to say the least. We made it all better by taking a midnight stroll around the town. We tried looking for places to chill and hang and wanted to get a couple things from the market but by the time we went there it was closed… lame! We decided to go back to the hotel and call it a night because we were still jet legged and exhausted. So until next time, hasta luego!
